Malta has a long association with the provision of healthcare, with world-class hospitals, clinics and staff and a highly developed tourism infrastructure. Now the annual Malta Medical Tourism Summit, organised by Europe Business Assembly, is becoming an important point-of-reference for the field. After a hugely successful event last year, where nearly 100 senior figures from 19 countries gathered to discuss the sector, this year’s summit will not only mark progress and changes, but outline best practice, new processes and programmes and new thinking which will help medical tourism move forward with confidence.
The participants represent every area of the industry: facilitators and travel agencies, private and public hospitals, clinics, medical organisations and associations, destination tourism ministries and promotion boards, health and travel insurance providers, hotels and resorts with special health facilities, government health ministries, spas and aftercare facilities and global corporations seeking advice on the implementation of company health schemes.
